Peter McClory, Ariadne (after Charles Bargue), Graphite on Canson paper, 20 x 28cm
The below images are the first in a series of drawings which demonstrate symbolic ideas that show balances struck within amalgamations of man-made habitations sometimes almost entirely hidden within the environment, and various personifications of nature.

Peter McClory, Tree Creature Drawing (no.1), Graphite on Paper
This art was inspired by a love for nature and it’s tendency to produce complexity out of simplicity. Especially with respect to trees and their immensity, variety and adaptability to a wide range of environments.
Some less refined sketches from this series can be found in the Game Project section on this site. This is because I am also developing a video game that incorporates these concepts and images.
