‘Mesothelioma’ and ‘Credit’ are Amongst Top Paid Contextual Advertising Keywords

Web site publishers can make a lot of money by using contextual advertising to target adverts at visitors. This is done by using an advertising scheme like Adsense (by Google). A company may have a service or product they wish to promote, and they will pay for adverts from a scheme like Adwords (the flip-side of Adsense).

The publisher opts in by allowing the context-sensitive adverts to be displayed alongside their published content. If a visitor clicks on one of these adverts, then the publisher will get paid a percentage of the cost that the initial company paid. (more…)

The Hollywood sirens were whirring, as they had obviously become comfortably close whilst playing the Boleyn sisters on screen, and not afraid to show it on the red carpet at the Film’s Premiere in Berlin.

Restoring and Recovering an iPod Touch after a failed Jailbreak

These are the steps I took to fix my iPod Touch 8GB each time I tried to use different jailbreak methods that screwed it up so that it wouldn’t switch on or be recognised in iTunes.

Other Jailbreak fixing methods I tried didn’t work, but these steps did, and they’re easy to do.

When trying other methods, my iPod crashed or wouldn’t switch on, but I found that these five short steps always got my iPod Touch up and running again with the official Apple firmware using iTunes.

I have used these steps several times and always had success restoring my iPod back to normal, including times when it appeared unresponsive to everything and I couldn’t turn it on. (more…)

I recently had an exhibition titled ‘The Art of Animation’ at the Art of Propaganda Gallery in the Wakefield Media Centre. The exhibition was attended by a wide range of people, running from November 20th to January 15th 2007.

The Chicken on the Roundabout

Story Writing Exercise 1

A fat, squat chicken is stuck on a roundabout, sparsely populated with trees and surrounded by several lanes of traffic moving fast, beeping and swerving past in a blur. She appears to be in a panic, and keeps trying to find an appropriate place to cross, but every place she dashes to on the outside of the roundabout is just as unlikely a place to cross as the last spot. Too dangerous. She scratches her head, puzzled and frustrated. What can she do? (more…)
